Our Story

In 2016 God called Pastor Raleigh and his family to be Church Planting Missionaries to Argentina, in the Southern region of Patagonia. After the 2020 Pandemic they were stranded in the U.S. and were not allowed to return to Argentina. At the beginning of 2021, the Lord led our family to begin the Freedom Baptist Church in North Idaho in the city of Spirit Lake. We began with 2 families in March of 2021 in the living room of their duplex in Spirit Lake. Shortly after we began renting the Spirit Lake Senior Center and spent a short time in the city of Rathdrum before the Lord provided us a permanent location .

In 2023 the Freedom Baptist Church was able to purchase 5 acres of land and our current building in Blanchard, ID with about 40 people and we began to convert the building and property into a church.

The Lord has expanded our Church many times in just a few short years both in building construction and the many families He has brought together to serve Him. We are so thankful for  His miraculous supply to meet our every need as we have continued to grow and start new ministries for His glory. In 2025 we began the Freedom Baptist Academy preschool  for children ages 3-Kindergarten, and has seen the Lord continue to bless and grow it every year.

We are currently completing an Auditorium expansion doubling our seating capacity from 85 to 160 and adding a 2nd nursery for our infants and crawlers. In the upcoming year we will be continuing to expand our children's outdoor play area as well as parking and landscaping throughout the property.

Beyond our buildings and property we continue to grow in our heart for World Missions. In the near future we hope to not only expand our current Missions giving but also began a Missions Organization from out of our Church to reach a very needy part of the world known as The Patagonia, "Earth's Last Frontier'.
